Delta Private Equity Partners, a manager of two private equity funds, is pleased to announce that its Chairman and CEO Patricia M. Cloherty has been elected to the Board of Directors of NYSE Euronext (New York Stock Exchange).

Over the past 35 years, Pat Cloherty has played an important role in shaping venture capital as known today in the US, the UK, France, Germany, Israel, Japan and Russia. She is former Co-Chairman, President and General Partner of Apax Partners, Inc. (formerly Patricof & Co. She is a past President and Chairman of the National Venture Capital Association of the United States. In Russia, Pat has been working since 1995, when President Clinton appointed her to the Board of The U.S. Russia Investment Fund, managed by Delta Private Equity Partners. In 1998-2004, she was pro bono Chairman of the Fund, and since 2003 Pat has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Delta Private Equity Partners.

Pat is a recipient of many distinguished awards. On March 17, 2008 then President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed a decree awarding Pat the Order of Friendship for her major contribution to the development of Russian business and for strengthening friendship and cooperation between the Russian Federation and the United States of America. In 2007, Ms. Cloherty received the Woodrow Wilson Award for Corporate Citizenship from the Kennan Center of the Woodrow Wilson Institute for International Scholars.  It is given to executives who have shown deep concern for the common good by their example and through business practices that advance the long-term interests of their firms, their employees, and their shareholders.  Earlier in 2007, the Russian Academy of Business granted Pat the Darin award for her significant and long-standing contribution to the creation of the new Russian economy, and the Moscow Government gave Pat an award for her outstanding contribution to the development of entrepreneurship in Russia and for establishing and supporting small business in the country.

Pat brings in-depth knowledge of the Russian, American and European markets, a wealth of experience, the passion for growth and results, and extraordinary energy that will greatly benefit NYSE Euronext.

Commenting on her appointment, Pat Cloherty noted: "I am delighted and deeply honored to become a member of the Board of NYSE Euronext and to apply my knowledge and experience to the investment market worldwide. I look forward to working with NYSE Euronext’s team."

While serving on the NYSE Board, Pat remains Chairman and CEO of Delta Private Equity Partners.
